Cyber Assistant: Remember the Milk
If you need a task management tool, or just a way to manage and simplify your to-do list, Remember the Milk is an online tool that can help with both of those issues. The site lets you organize your tasks into a nicely organized list, where you can mark each task as completed, postponed or other designations.
Your account is automatically set up with several lists, for work, personal and other categories. Other users can send tasks to your inbox, and vice versa. You can set up reminders for tasks with due dates. Advanced search options make it easy for you to quickly locate tasks that pertain to a certain person or project. The overview pane makes it easy to see what tasks need your attention within the next few days, which helps you plan your schedule. You can add tasks in a variety of ways, including email and Twitter.
While Remember the Milk can be used solely online via your web browser, there are also lots of other options. There are apps for Android, iPhone and iPad, plus you can manage tasks from Gmail, Google Calendar and similar programs.
The basic account is free, or you can upgrade to a Pro membership for $25 a year.
