Featured Job Opportunity: Commercial Real Estate Paralegal

Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, this position involves close collaboration with the attorneys and staff to assist in rendering exceptional client service and a high level of service supporting the needs of the real estate practice group. Coordinates distribution of closing documents and funds, prepares closing binders and prepares and plots legal descriptions.
Will also communicate with surveyors, title companies, lenders, other law firms, and clients; and coordinate the recording of documents in Registries and Secretary of State offices in NC and other states. Performs title searches, prepares draft opinions on title and reviews title commitments, exception documents, and final policies involving properties located in various states.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree; paralegal certificate preferred with North Carolina certification (or equivalent in combined education and experience). At least two years commercial real estate paralegal experience is required. Must have familiarity with real estate department needs and processes, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a broad range real estate knowledge and excellent problem solving skills.
