Featured Job Opportunity: Senior Physician Assistant

This week, we’re featuring an opportunity for a senior physician assistant at the San Francisco VA Medical Center—a practice that involves 4 OR days a week with one day a week of clinic.
This senior level cardiac surgery physician assistant will work closely with two cardiac surgeons in both inpatient and outpatient setting. Will help in providing patient consultation and evaluation, assist with surgical procedures, and pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care. Also performs preoperative history and physical, wound care, patient consultations and education, postoperative critical care and ward rounds, prepare progress notes and discharge summaries, prepare ICU and ward orders, review labs and tests.
Ideal candidate will have successful completion of a qualified Physician Assistant program, be certified by the National commission of Certification of Physician Assistants, hold a current California state license, and be BLS and ACLS certified. Demonstrated ability in open and endoscopic vein harvesting, radial artery harvesting preferred.
The yearly salary is $90,000 to $125,000. There is no night, weekend or in-house call involved with the position. A recruitment/relocation bonus may be offered.
