It's Improve Your Office Day!

In case you aren't aware, today is Improve Your Office Day. Apparently this is a day when you are supposed to make an effort to spruce up your office environment.

Granted, we suspect this "holiday" was probably created by an office supply retailer with a vested interest in promoting the idea of office-related improvements. But still, we think anything that can help motivate office workers to make their workplaces (and workspaces) a little better and brighter is a good thing. 

Sure, it would be great if you could launch your own Extreme Office Makeover project, but that's probably not an option. Obviously, there is only so much you can do if you have limited resources and little or no budget. But even just cleaning and organizing your office and maybe adding some bright, colorful accessories can make a big difference.  

Other relatively easy office improvements include adding a few plants or flowers (if office policies and protocol allow) or maybe even hanging some festive decorations to get in the spirit of the occasion.
