Make Difficult Conversations Easier

There’s usually at least one person in every office who most people find annoying, contro­versial or even devious. What’s the best way to change some­one’s behavior? Many times, a simple, face-to-face conversa­tion will do the trick.

It’s not easy, but do you really want to be the person who runs to the offender’s boss every time he or she does something wrong? If you escalate the problem without first trying to solve it with the offender, the situation usually becomes worse.
