Things Your Boss Wishes He Could Tell You
Like most working professionals, you probably have many things you’d love to tell your boss. If you are unhappy and frustrated with your job, some of those things may be unsuitable for public readership.
As this article states, this is also true in the reverse. There are many things your boss would love to tell you—including a few things they would like to confess—but they are forced to bite their tongue.
Here are a few of the things your boss would really like you to know:
The boss has feelings too. Bosses often have to put on a stoic face and act like everything is “just business,” but they really do take things personally, too. And they usually do care if their staff likes them.
He’s aware that you deserve more money—and he would love to give it to you. Companies are slashing budgets, and your boss most likely has been given a mandate to keep costs down. If he goes over budget, everyone may suffer.
Most bosses don’t enjoy micromanaging. Workers hate being micromanaged—and most bosses don’t enjoy doing it. But they need to feel confident that things won’t slip through the cracks, so prove to the boss that you can be trusted to handle the little details.
What do you think your boss would love to admit to the staff? Share thoughts in the comments.
